New Mission President for Tanner - July 1, 2011

Monte J. and Emily J. Brough

This picture was published in the LDS Church News, Jan 15, 2011 but at that time, their mission assignment was not announced.  Janelle (Tanner's Mom) sent me a note from a missionary in Tanner's mission, (Elder Davis) who posted their names on his blog.

Here's their bio from the LDS Church News:

Monte Joseph Brough, 47, and Emily Jane Thompson Brough, four children, Wellsville 1st Ward, Wellsville Utah Stake. Brother Brough serves as a ward Young Men president and is a former bishop, counselor in a bishopric, high councilor and missionary in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission. President/Owner, Rotational Molding of Utah, Inc. Born in Salt Lake City, to Monte James and Ada Lanette Barker Brough. Sister Brough serves as a ward Relief Society president and is a former ward Young Women president, Primary president and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, to LeRoy Briggs and Chloe Jean Rice Thompson.

Tanner will get to know them well as they will be with him for the entire two years.   The missionary also posted that they would be bringing two of their four children with them.  What an amazing experience they will have!

Saying Goodbye

Hola!

As some of you may know, I have been called to serve a mission in Guatemala for 2 years. I will be giving my farewell talk on April 10 and will be departing to the MTC on April 25. I would love and appreciate it if you can make it!

There is also an open house on April 16 to celebrate this occasion. Please stop by between 7:00 and 10:00 to visit, say goodbye, enjoy some treats and enjoy some dr pepper.

I hope to see you there! Everyone is welcome!
